Some jobs take a while, such as research across many pages or a batch of drafts. You can hand them off and keep chatting about something else.
Hand off a job
- When a reply has been working for about 30 seconds, a card appears: This one will take a bit.
- Click Hand this off. If you would rather wait, dismiss the card.
The job becomes a task and keeps running in the background. Handing off is always your choice.
Follow its progress
- In the chat, open the Hand offs tab in the panel on the right.
- Or open Tasks and choose the Hand offs tab.
Hand offs are grouped by status. When the job finishes, the task moves to In review, and you get a notification. Check the work, then mark the task done. Nothing leaves the list until a person marks it done.
