The chat knows your workspace: your tasks, channels, knowledge base and meetings, plus the tools you have connected. It works as you, with your permissions, and it keeps working if you leave the page.
Start a chat
- In the sidebar, open Chats and click Start new chat.
- Type what you need, or pick a suggestion such as What should we work on?
- To give it something to read, click Add files.
- Click Send message. To stop a reply early, click Stop.
Each channel also has its own chat room for the work in that channel. Open it from the channel's name in the sidebar.
Things to try
These are examples. Use your own work.
- "Which of my open tasks matter most this week?"
- "Draft a brief for next month's webinar."
- "What did we decide in last Tuesday's planning meeting?"
Cards in the chat
- Questions. When it needs a detail from you, it asks with a short card. Pick an answer or type your own.
- Approvals. Before it does something in a connected tool that you set to need approval, it asks: "Allow this action from this tool?" Click Allow for this once, Always allow to stop asking, or Deny.
- Documents. Long writing goes into a document that opens beside the chat. Click Open on the card to go back to it.
Each reply counts toward your plan's monthly replies. You can see what you have used on the Billing page.
